HPC Cloud Architecture to Reduce HPC Workflow Complexity in Containerized Environments

The complexity of high-performance computing (HPC) workflows is an important issue in the provision HPC cloud services most national supercomputing centers. This problem especially critical because it affects resource scalability, management efficiency, and convenience use. To solve this problem, while exploiting advantage bare-metal-level high performance, container-based solutions have been developed. However, various problems still exist, such as isolated environment between cloud, security issues, workload issues. We propose architecture that reduces by using Docker Singularity, which are container platforms often used field. integrates both image job management, two main elements workflows. evaluate serviceability performance proposed architecture, we developed implemented a platform cluster experiment. Experimental results indicated can reduce to provide user convenience, applications, efficiency.
